Volunteer Tea | November 22

Marie Hospital (Gallery Coordinator) and Tom Symington (Gallery Host Coordinator) are pleased to invite you to an informal gathering of “new” and “old” volunteers on November 22 from 2 – 3:30 pm in the gallery.

We want to thank you for expressing your interest in volunteering at CV Arts. All types of volunteers are welcome: those who would like to host in the gallery and those who prefer helping behind the scenes (setting up exhibitions or assisting during special daytime or evening events).

On-site ticket sales are now open!

We are delighted to invite you to a unique artistic and cultural event combining history, theater, storytelling, and local legends: the ghost tour in Pynelogs.

This live performance experience invites the public to step back in time and discover the fascinating story of Lady Elizabeth Northcott, wife of Robert Randolph Bruce, who built Pynelogs in 1914. Following her untimely passing, Pynelogs was donated by Bruce to serve as a hospital in her memory, renamed The Lady Elizabeth Bruce Memorial Hospital.

Over the years, many Columbia Valley residents have claimed to have seen the ghost of Lady Elizabeth and other mysterious spirits wandering through Pynelogs. These accounts, gathered and brought to life by playwright and director Anne Jardine, have inspired a captivating theatrical performance that we propose to present during the Halloween season—an ideal time for such stories.
• Time: 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
• Duration: 1.5 hours
• Location: Pynelogs Cultural Centre
• Ticket price: $10 per person (includes a complimentary beverage)
• Age restriction: teens & adult (13 to 80 years old)
• Physical condition required: to access the basement/garden.
This event is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or those who have difficulty walking or descending stairs.
